Privacy Policy
Effective: 22 April 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Bin Eye Bins Pty Ltd (ACN 697 470 778, ABN 32 697 470 778) — trading as BinEye — collects, uses, stores and shares personal information. Our registered office is 9 Dorames Street, Hendra QLD 4011, Australia. Where this policy refers to "we," "us," or "BinEye," we mean Bin Eye Bins Pty Ltd and its operating entities (including Superior Bin Solutions Pty Ltd in its capacity as BinEye's first deployment fleet).
This policy is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to personal information handled in connection with our website (bineye.ai), our customer mobile app (Bin-I-Bins tracker), our operator mobile app (BinEye Operator), and our deployed BinEye hardware and platform services.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiry and quote information submitted via our website or mobile apps: name, work email, phone number, company name, site address, preferred bin sizes, and any message you include.
- Account information if you register to use a BinEye mobile app: email address and password. Passwords are stored as salted hashes; we never see or store the plaintext.
- Communications you send to us (email, phone calls logged, in-app messages).
Information collected by our deployed hardware and apps
- Bin telemetry from deployed BinEye modules: fill-level readings, material classification, temperature, battery voltage, cellular signal strength, GPS location, motion events, and timestamps.
- Bin imagery: low-resolution JPEG photographs of bin contents captured periodically and on motion events. Images are associated with the bin, not identified individuals.
- Mobile app data: device identifier, operating system version, app version, push notification token, crash reports, and (for the operator app) GPS location during active shifts for route tracking.
Information we receive from third parties
- Payment status from Xero (our accounting platform) when invoices are raised or paid.
- Signed quote status from DocuSign (or equivalent e-signature platform) when quotes are accepted.
- Aggregate app usage information from Apple App Store and Google Play Store — we do not receive identifying user-level data from these sources.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To supply and operate the BinEye service: schedule collections, detect contamination, generate reports and invoices, dispatch drivers, and prove service was performed.
- To authenticate you in our mobile apps.
- To send service-related notifications (bin full, order stage advanced, collection scheduled, contamination flagged).
- To improve our machine-learning models for waste classification — using aggregated, de-identified image data.
- To comply with our legal obligations (tax, accounting, safety, environmental reporting).
We do not use your information for profiling, behavioural advertising, or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who we share it with
